We recently carried out a biomass production feasibility study on one of the sites of DUFERCO Wallonia. The phytoremediation and phytostabilisation potential of the proposed crops was also investigated, in collaboration with our partner MICROHUMUS.
Based on a preliminary diagnosis complemented by on-site investigations, analyses and phytotoxicity tests, the most appropriate species were selected, to comply with the client’s objectives and site constraints.
Finally, we assessed the technical and economic feasibility of biomass-to-energy production, on the basis of yields, costs and revenues adapted to local conditions.
